I am the Preschool Teacher at OLS. I grew up in Chicago and went to elementary school at St. Barbara. I went to college at Bradley University. My favorite Saint is Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, Jesus showed her his heart as a symbol of divine love for humanity. She inspires me to live a life of love and patience like she did.
One thing I want OLS students and families to know about me is that being a teacher is one of the most rewarding things, seeing students grasp tough concepts, or kindly interact is one of the best parts of my day as a teacher.
Catholic education is the foundation of who I am. I went to Catholic school and I believe it shaped me to be someone who centers my actions around God and how I can live my life in a devout way.
Why OLS? OLS is a welcoming family community. Everyone is kind and welcoming from the students, to the parents and the staff.
While working with younger students I believe that the best way to learn is through play. I teach by encouraging students to participate in lessons with me, this makes lessons more memorable for students and allows them to understand tough concepts in a way that is accessible to them.
