I am the 6th Grade Homeroom teacher, Junior High Science/Social Studies teacher. I grew up in Chicago’s South Side and went to elementary school at Sacred Heart School. I attended DePaul University. My favorite Saint is Saint Anthony.
One thing I want OLS students and families to know about me is that I truly care about my students and want them to feel supported, respected, and confident in the classroom. Catholic education is very important to me because I grew up attending Catholic Schools. My experiences shaped who I am and showed me the importance of faith, community, kindness, and service. I hope to provide my students with that same sense of belonging.
Why OLS? I chose OLS because I value that strong sense of faith, community and family that a Catholic school provides. I am excited to be part of a school community where I can support my students academically while also helping them grow in faith. I would describe my teaching style as student centered, engaging and supportive. I enjoy using hands-on activities, discussions, and real-world connections to make lessons meaningful.
