I am the 2nd Grade teacher at Our Lady of the Snows School. I grew up in a small rural town down in southwest Texas. I went to elementary school at Benson Elementary and attended college at Saint Xavier University.
My favorite saint is Mary, Mother of Jesus, because she showed great trust in God through her actions and words in the Bible. She said yes to God’s plan for her life.
One thing I want OLS students and families to know about me is that I'm naturally curious and always looking for new things to learn. I believe that lifelong education is a powerful tool for personal growth and opens doors to new perspectives. Catholic education is a privilege and a one of a kind experience, in my opinion. It combines strong academics with moral and spiritual growth. It shapes the whole person- mind, body and spirit to prepare students for a purposeful life.
Why OLS? I truly value the close-knit community, small class sizes, and welcoming family oriented atmosphere. In some ways, it reminds me of back home.
My teaching style is organized, routine-oriented and student-led. I believe that when students are provided with clear expectations, visuals, and predictability, it creates a safe environment where they can take ownership of their learning and truly thrive.
