I am the Preschool 2 aide at OLS. I grew up in Chicago and attended St. Ann's school in Pilsen from Kindergarten-4th grade. From 5th-8th, I attended Sawyer School. I attended Daley College, and National Louis University. My favorite Saint is St. Anthony.
I believe preschool is the base of education. This is the year when children begin to understand school is a place that allows them to learn in a safe environment while meeting new friends and having fun. My teaching style is teaching in a fun way! Preschool lessons are taught in a way that the students don’t realize they are learning. They are taught through a fun song, dance, or art.
I believe that Catholic education is... a gift! Our students learn math, reading….the basics AND religion. We start the day off with prayer as a whole school which is so powerful and allows us a beautiful way to start off our day with religion being incorporated as well.
Why OLS? OLS is a small school which allows teachers to give more one-on-one time to the students. Sometimes in a large school students can fall between the cracks and things can be missed because there's just no time to notice a student is struggling and there's no time to help that child. OLS is small school which allows teachers to give students one-on-one time.
